So I started a Blog!

Welcome to my stream of consciousness! In this blog, I hope to share my lessons learned, research, a ideas, and tips for your journey as a parent. Professional, I am a Developmental Psychologist that is passionate about children and their families! As a child advocate, I have dedicated over 25 years to ensuring that ALL children of ALL ages experience the sacred time of childhood. With a developmental lens and training, I have the ability to understand age-appropriate behaviors, expectations, and aid others in identifying strategies for optimal teaching and parenting. Because of my passion, education, and experience, I have worked as an Educational Consultation for over 10 years. As an educational consultant, I am a “thinkpartner” for parents that are grappling with questions about their child’s development, educational needs/concerns, challenging behaviors, parenting strategies, and more.

As a mother of two children (ages 14 and 11-years-old), I am on this journey with you! I have successfully worked from home for over 10 years, negotiated my roles as a wife, mother, educator, and professional. My husband and I have home-schooled our children at various points of their education over the years . Additionally, we have navigated and researched multiple education systems and pedagogies (public and private) on the search for the “right fit” for our children. Over the years, I have grown with my children and gained insight, tips, and tricks based on my experiences as a mother combined with education and experience! So,  now I’d like to share some of my learning in this new way. My hope is that by sharing my journey here, it will be helpful to you on your journey!
